Hotels in Delft The Netherlands
Delft is located in the western part of Holland in the province of Zuid-Holland (South-Holland).

The city was founded in the 12th century and it received its city rights in 1246. William of Orange Nassau, seen as founder of The Netherlands, choose Delft as his residence in the 16th century. He was the leader of the Dutch resistence against the Spanish ruler. In 1584 he was shot by Balthzar Gerards in the Prinsenhof. Prince William of Orange Nassau is buried in the Nieuwe Kerk in Delft.
