Holland flag

Holland flagThe flag of the Netherlands consists of 3 equal horizontal bands of red, white, and blue; similar to the flag of Luxembourg, which uses a lighter blue and is longer.

The flag is one of the oldest flags in constant use and originated with Prince William the first, the Prince of Orange, in the latter half of the sixteenth century. The Dutch flag (red, white and blue) is derived from the flag of the Prince of Orange, which was orange, white and blue.
